One day my former boss and forever friend Sarah Holcombe hit me up to see if I'd be interested in helping out her small marketing team at Drizly. "You love drinking and you love writing, so, seems like a fit," she said. A couple weeks turned into two years of freelancing, during which I helped with a full brand overhaul and wrote literally thousands of emails, banner ads, push notifications, podcast/video scripts, OOH, etc. about pretty much anything booze related you can think of.

I was part of the motley crew that helped grow the business so exponentially that Uber decided to buy it. Then eventually dissolve it, I assume to eliminate its most theatening alcohol delivery competition. So it goes. Sometimes you're just too good, I guess. RIP Drizly. And RIP my employee discount.
